Barbara Strom Austin of Garland, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 23, 2026, at 3:00 in the afternoon.

A Life of Sweetness and Love

Barbara was a very sweet lady who never complained and everyone who met her always loved her. She was an awesome mother, sister, daughter, aunt, wife, and friend. She loved Jesus and everyone she met.

Family and Legacy

Barbara is survived by her sister Vickie Chapman and her brother-in-law David Chapman, her sisters-in-law Lenda Beck and Sherrie Strom, her daughter Debbie Napier and son-in-law Bryan Napier, two stepdaughters Trish and Jennifer Austin, and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ruth Strom, her husband Joseph Austin, her brothers Teddy and David Strom, her sisters Rebecca Strom and Beckie Sue Holt, her daughter Theresa Davis, her sons John Kelly and Randy Davis, and her stepson Kenneth Austin.

Work and Dedication

Barbara worked with her father and her nephew Don Thompson for many years, dedicating herself to family work and service.

Her family and friends will miss her so much. There will be an emptiness that only someone as special as Barbara could leave behind. Yet we find comfort in knowing that she is now with her Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she loved and served throughout her life.
